Dr. S. Sridhar is presently Professor, Department of Information Science and Technology, College of Engineering, Guindy Campus, Anna University, Chennai. He has rich experience of more than 30 years of active teaching and research, including a brief stint at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli and SRM University. He is a member of many national and international societies and an approved Ph.D. guide for Anna University. He has conducted, participated, and served as a resource person for several short-term courses, seminars, and workshops conducted at the national level and delivered lectures on algorithms in EDUSAT television Programmes of Anna University. He has also worked on projects (CSIR), Chennai.
Dr Sridhar has published several research papers in international journals and presented research papers in national and internal Programmes. He has also coordinated many national level workshops on image processing and MATLAB in Anna University. He has already authored a book on Digital Image Processing published by Oxford University Press India and course material for MCA Distance Education Programmes of Anna University in data mining. He has also been a coordinator in an international level conference on MATLAB.
Dr. Sridhar has done B.E. in Computer Technology and Informatics from Bharathiar University and M Tech. in Computer Science Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, Mangalore. A Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering from Anna University, he has done his specialization in image processing. His other areas of interest are digital image processing, medical imaging, video processing, and data mining.
